Breaking the stereotype

Breaking the stereotype

This post is going to be extremely egotistical so feel free to skip it. But the time has come to address one of my biggest pet peeves, and something that I believe is extremely damaging to the fitness industry. Read the rest of this entry »

Unhelpful advice

Unhelpful advice

One of the things that irks me most in the world is the massive amount of misleading and incorrect information out there regarding health and fitness. In the past week I have received several emails asking for advice, and the one thing that is common among almost all of them is that people are confused about what and when to eat, how and when to train, and who to trust (I love getting emails from you guys but, as I always say, I’m not a personal trainer or nutritionist – yet! – so take what I say as you will). Celebrities are liars

Celebrities are liars

But no matter what a celebrity tells you, 99 per cent of the time I can guarantee you they are lying. Read the rest of this entry »

Getting the facts straight

Getting the facts straight

A couple of days ago I read an article from one of the largest weight loss websites and online communities in America that summarised seven myths about nutrition. While the first few arguments I definitely agreed with, the last two so-called ‘myths’ were in fact truths being busted! It’s no wonder why people don’t know where to turn to for information and who to trust when this kind of rubbish is being pumped into their minds. Read the rest of this entry »
